Yarr, the story of the Fruity Rum-Drink Party. Where to begin…

Once upon a time, a young man went with his brother to the marketplace in their humble village. Coconuts were spotted. After some discussion of what to do with these unique and delicious fruits, it was decided: the brothers would purchase a bunch of coconuts and then procure a bunch of rum, and have themselves a fruity rum-drink party.

Coconuts we cracked and filled with delicious Piña Colada. The party, though small, lasted well into the wee hours until the brothers and their friends passed out from exhaustion. The celebration continued into the next day as the Piña Colada provided them all with ample hangovers.

And so it goes.

Since those humble beginnings, the Fruity Rum-Drink Party has grown in size and scope. The 6th and 7th annual FRDP’s were attended by several hundred swarthy pirates and scallywags.

So, join us for this year’s party. The custom still stands: you bring a bottle of rum. We´ll bring the party.
